Directions to the Head of the Riverfront – Charter Oak Landing, Hartford

From Farmington , take I-84 East to I-91 South.  Follow I-91 South to Brainard Road , exit 27. At the end of the ramp, turn left. At the light in front of McDonalds turn left. Follow to the next light and turn left onto Reserve Road . Pass CT Regional Market on your left, the entrance to the park will be on your right.

 

Plenty of parking – can be muddy if it’s rained.

 

Directions to Middletown ( Harbor Park ) for Conference Cup, Emerson, and Head of CT:

From Farmington , take Rt 9 South to exit 14, DeKoven Drive .  Left off exit, left at 1st light, bear left under bridge and Harbor Park is on right.  Park PAST the boathouses in the municipal lot. 

 

Parking is limited, especially in the Fall!!  It takes about 30 min.

 

Directions to Shrewsbury and NEIRA:

Finish Line: Regatta Point State Park , 10 Lake Ave North Worc , MA

Take the The Massachusetts Turnpike East. Get off at Interstate Route 290 East (Worcester). Get off at Exit 21 ( Plantation St .). Turn right at the end of the ramp. Turn left onto North Road (between the Mercandante Funeral Home and UMass Medical Center ). Proceed to Lake Ave and turn right. The park entrance is one hundred yards on the left.

 

Start/: Donahue Rowing Center, 237 North Quinsigamond Ave Shrewsbury , MA

Take the The Massachusetts Turnpike East. Get off at Interstate Route 290 East (Worcester). Get off at Exit 22 ( Main St .). Turn left at the end of the ramp. Turn left at the first traffic light onto North Quinsigamond Ave. The DRC is a quarter mile on the right.

 

Parking is very tight either location.  Carpool if you can.  There is a gate fee for NIERAs.

   

Directions to Lake Waramaug for CPSRA (States)

From Farmington , take Rt 4 West to Harwinton. Take Rt 118 West to Litchfield. Take Rt 202 West to Bantam.

From the Rt 118 and Rt 202 side of the Litchfield Green, take Rt 202 West towards Washington , New Milford , etc.  Follow Route 202 through Bantam and Woodville to New Preston . In New Preston, there will be a sign for a Right turn to Lake Waramaug State Park . When you see the lake, you may go either right or left to get to the race site. 

 

The traffic around the lake will be one way.  Please follow requests of all traffic control personal. 

Parking is limited.  Carpool if you can.

 

Directions to Litchfield Regatta:

From Farmington , take Rt 4 West to Harwinton. Take Rt 118 West to Litchfield. Take Rt 202 West to Bantam.

From the Rt 118 and Rt 202 side of the Litchfield Green, take Rt 202 West towards Washington , New Milford , etc.

From that side of the Litchfield Green (large white congregational church), it is 2.7 miles on Rt 202

When you see Wamogo High School entrance sign on your right, take first left onto North Shore Rd. (towards Bantam Lake ).

Follow down until you go over a small bridge and take your first quick left onto a dirt road.  There's a stone pillar, it's a dirt road, and it goes through a chainlink fence to shore of lake.  If you see lake on your left you went too far. Follow down around a right bend and you will see water, parking, etc.

 

Note: Cell phone service is spotty to non-existent most of trip and at Bantam Lake .

 

Directions to Glastonbury :

From Farmington , take I-84 East to Hartford and get on Rt 2 East, just over the CT River.  Follow Rt 2 and take the Rt 17 S Exit (left exit).  Follow Rt 17 through South Glastonbury , and at the sign for the ferry, take a right onto Rt 160.   Rt 160 takes a right to go towards the river.  GO STRAIGHT onto Tryon St .  DO NOT GO TO THE FERRY.  Follow Tryon St. and the Marina will be on the right, but the parking area is just before that.  You can see it from the road as you come over the hill.  It takes about 30 minutes.

 

The race launches from Seaboard Marina, 684 Tryon St, South Glastonbury .  The marina building has a deck behind it overlooking the finish line, and there is a snack bar there.
